A ritual treatment given by two women to another woman.

A traditional Mexican ritual that honours women. A rite of passage celebrating transitions, cycles and the different stages of life.

Originally a postnatal treatment, I offer it in France, as well as in Portugal with Mélanie Joudiou, to all women who wish to pause and take care of themselves in our warm and welcoming cocoon-like space. We accompany you with gentleness and compassion through whatever you are going through, on a journey back to yourself.

This ritual helps you cross a threshold, undergo an inner transformation, and physically and symbolically close what was opened during pregnancy. It is an opportunity to honour the new mother who has brought life into the world and to acknowledge all that she has accomplished.

Set an intention, clarify your path, who you are and the new directions you wish to take. Let go of and release limiting beliefs and old patterns, and step into a new vision of yourself and the world. Give yourself a powerful tool and supportive space for transformation.

How the treatment unfolds.

We begin this ritual by welcoming you into a warm, peaceful and comforting space. Together, we open a space for conversation over a traditional warming herbal tea, which punctuates each stage of the treatment.

Once your intention has been set and your needs expressed, we invite you to surrender into complete relaxation during a four-handed oil massage. This massage encourages deep release and is followed by a sound bath using voice, koshi chimes, gong and drums, as well as massage with Tibetan singing bowls, according to your needs. This sound therapy treatment helps rebalance body and mind. Vibration helps relieve psychological, physical and emotional tension. A moment of alignment for body, heart and mind.

Then comes the time to enter the sweat lodge. The heat encourages sweating, helping to release toxins and cleanse the body. For some women, this can be a moment of rebirth.

Once the sweating is complete, we take some time to rest warmly wrapped in blankets, followed by a conversation about what has emerged during the experience.

We then begin the seven-point closing of the body using rebozos, colourful Mexican cotton shawls. We take a little time to return to ourselves before closing the ritual together.

We have both been trained in the Rebozo ritual by Yaël Catherinet and Marion Derveaux.
